Kat o' Nine Lives

I have always had a love of dressing up on Hallowe'en and always found myself in more elaborate costumes than the other kids at school so when my best friend, Kris, introduced me to conventions and the concept of cosplay, I was hooked.

 

So began the wait... over 10 years later I finally had the opportunity in August of 2011 to attend my first convention, Fan Expo, while May 2013 marked my first Anime North. I can't wait to, one day, expand my convention circuit to the rest of Canada, the States and even Japan.

 

Always an artist, I graduated from Durham College in the Animation & Digital Production program in 2011 and worked for a year in the industry as a production assistant at Arc Productions in Toronto. As difficult as it was to leave there I decided to go back to school when I was accepted into the Ontario College of Art & Design for their Graphic Design program and that's what I'm doing now.
